The Cotopaxi National Park located at the skirts of the volcano with the same name has an altitude of 5,897 m.a.s.l. (19,342 ft. high). Cotopaxi volcano is considered the highest ACTIVE snow capped volcano in the world. Located at 60 Km. (37 miles) south of Quito.
